Make an appointment with your doctor

  1. Let the receptionist know if you're a new patient. Depending on how busy the practice is you may need to wait a few days or more.
  2. Tell them the reasons for your visit. You can share your specific concerns, e.g. concerned about prostate cancer, depression, general health check-up. Depending on the medical issue the GP (General Practitioner) may rTefer you to a specialist.
  3. You will need to provide your medicare card number. For information about Medicare click here.
NOTE: you may need to pay for the appointment depending on whether the doctor bulk bills or not. For information about bulk billing click here.
  4. Take along any medical records and names of the medications you're taking. Ask if there is anything you need to bring to the visit.
